Too much beige. Not enough deep green. This fixes that. Hang this and the wall stops being background the green hills, dusty pink path and small yellow moon pull warmth and colour into a flat room. It suits a study wall above a desk, a living-room wall over a low sideboard, or the end of a hallway where you want something to walk towards. Pair it with mid-century teak, dark green upholstery, cane and stacks of books. Keep pattern nearby to a minimum: busy wallpaper, floral curtains or another strongly coloured painting on the same wall will fight it. It wants a plain wall and a bit of breathing space. As a canvas the deep colours read softly, with no reflection to work around.
