Single Line Bloom in Blush and Beige Canvas Print

Back in the 1920s, this single-line flower drawing belonged to another kind of home. Put it up and a plain wall stops looking unfinished the thin black line gives the eye something to follow, while the soft pink and warm beige shapes keep the whole thing gentle. It suits a bedroom above the headboard, a hallway that gets little light, or a narrow gap between a wardrobe and a window. Pair it with pale wood, linen, cane and a couple of cream ceramics. Don’t crowd it with heavy patterned textiles or loud colour blocks either side; the drawing needs empty wall around it to read properly. As a stretched canvas it reads softer still, with a matte finish that keeps glare off the pale background.
