Temple Gardens by Paul Klee Canvas Print

Watch the abstract temple landscape land, then the burnt orange start doing damage. It pulls warmth out of the walls and gives a flat room a proper focal point. The blocks of orange, terracotta, warm brown and slate blue read as architecture from across the room and as pure pattern up close. Hang it above a low sideboard, a sofa or a writing desk, ideally where afternoon light can hit it. Pair it with warm woods, tan leather, wool or linen seating and a few stoneware pieces. Keep the wall around it plain chalky off-white or clay works well. Don’t crowd it with busy patterned wallpaper or other strong colour prints; it needs breathing room to do its job. As a canvas the matt surface softens the glow and suits larger, lived-in walls.
