Here’s the trick: let the still life cut through all that linen. A room full of soft neutral fabric needs one thing with paint on it, and this is that thing. The deep green leaves and pink flowers give a quiet room a proper focal point without shouting. Hang it above a sideboard, between two windows, or on a study wall where you sit and look at it. Pair it with warm timber, stoneware and simple painted walls. Don’t crowd it with busy pattern no floral wallpaper, no gallery of small botanical sketches either side.
