Try it above the bed; the soft vertical drift of the koi will do the editing. The fish move through warm pink, mustard and orange against patches of olive, sage and a single ribbon of navy calm, but not flat. It cools a room that runs warm and warms a room that runs cool. Hang it above a low headboard, a long sideboard or a deep sofa where it has room to breathe. Pair it with linen bedding, oak or pale timber, rattan and a few stoneware ceramics.
