Buy an abstract grid for the story. Keep it for the deep green. The blocks are painted by hand, so the edges wobble and the colour shifts inside every square. Put it up and a flat wall gains depth: the browns pull the room down and settle it, while the small squares of bright yellow-green lift the whole thing so it never feels heavy. It works over a low sofa, a sideboard or behind a desk, and it likes a wide wall where the grid can spread out. Pair it with dark wood, leather, wool and stoneware, and a chalky off-white or clay wall colour. What not to do: crowd it with busy patterned pieces or other geometric prints, because two grids fighting on one wall cancel each other out.
