Rooms go quieter when soft pink is this sure of itself. Thick bands of coral, mustard, deep green and cream stack up like rock layers, and the whole wall settles around them. Hang it on a chalky off-white wall above a sofa, a bed or a low sideboard and the room reads warmer straight away, without anything else changing.
