Nesting Shapes in Sky Blue Canvas Print

There’s a reason mid-century designers kept returning to abstract shapes; rooms still respond. Soft sky blue does the heavy lifting here, with dark brown and cream forms held together by loose black scribble lines. Hang it above a walnut sideboard, a low bookshelf or a small writing desk and the whole corner settles down. It works with cream boucl, tan leather, brass fittings and pale rugs. Keep the wall around it fairly clear so the shapes have room to breathe. Skip busy patterned wallpaper next to it, and avoid crowding it with lots of small prints this one wants a little quiet on either side.
