Figs, Toast and Daffodils Canvas Print

We like still life best when it comes with a little abrasion. This one has it figs cut open in hot pink, an orange chair pushed back, daffodils leaning out of a glass, all of it sitting against a deep cobalt blue that refuses to behave.

The room changes around it. Walls that read as plain suddenly look considered. A quiet kitchen gets a focal point. A pale dining room gets the colour it was missing without anyone having to repaint.

Hang it where people eat or make coffee kitchen, breakfast nook, dining wall, the bit of hallway next to the pantry. Eye-level on a clear stretch of wall does the most work.

Pairs well with pale oak, linen, ceramic, brass, and chalky off-white walls. Earthy stoneware and a simple rush-seat chair both belong in the same room.

What not to do: don’t hang it next to another loud print. It’s already the loudest thing in the room. Stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang.
