Back in 1902, this decorative panel belonged to another kind of home wallpapered parlours, gas lamps and heavy curtains. It still carries that warmth, but works just as well in a calmer modern room. Hang it on a soft cream or warm white wall and the gold and deep red lift the whole space without dominating it. It sits nicely above a console in a hallway, or behind a reading chair in a living room. Pair it with velvet, linen, walnut or aged leather.
