Dalmatian Scribble Art Print

First glance: black ink on white. Second glance: the dog doing something smarter. The lines look thrown down at speed, then they settle into a standing Dalmatian with spots, long legs and a very level stare. In a room, it does the job of a piece of sculpture without taking up floor space: one clear shape, no colour to work around. Hang it on a plain stretch of hallway wall, above a desk, or beside a doorway where people pass close enough to see the tangle. Keep the company simple leather, linen, pale or dark timber, plain ceramics. Don’t put it next to patterned wallpaper or a tight cluster of small frames; the lines need room to move or the whole thing turns to noise. On paper, the white ground stays bright and the ink edges stay crisp.
