Cranes on Gold (Edo Screen) Canvas Print

Start with the warm gold; it’ll wake every dark walnut around it. A wide flock of cranes lifts across a gilded background, with bamboo to one side and plum blossom reaching in from above.

Once it’s up, the room reads warmer and slower. The gold catches lamps in the evening and pulls everything towards it, so other corners feel quieter by comparison.

It wants width above a long sofa, a sideboard, or as a dining-room feature. Give it a metre or so of clear wall and don’t crowd the edges.
