We like landscapes best when they come with a little abrasion. This one has a grainy, risograph feel that softens the whole scene, so the blues read as calm rather than cold. Hang it somewhere you want the room to slow down above a bed, in a bathroom, at the end of a bright hallway. It cools an off-white plaster wall beautifully and sits well with pale oak, linen and rattan. Keep the styling around it soft: stoneware, a paper shade, a trailing plant.
