Even the oak in here starts looking expensive next to deep green. That chalky green background does the heavy lifting, and the dog’s face pulls everyone in the room towards it. Hang it where people pass or gather: a hallway wall, the gap beside a kitchen door, or above a low sideboard in a family room. It sits happily with painted cabinets, oak or dark wood, leather and plain linen, plus a bit of black metal in the hooks or lighting. Keep the wall around it fairly plain and let the green be the loudest thing. Don’t crowd it with busy florals or lots of small typography pieces, and skip a heavily patterned wallpaper behind it.
