Try it above the sideboard; the strong upward angle will do the editing. A room with a lot going on at eye level settles the moment one clear shape takes charge. The layered blue, blush and sand stripes pull colour up and away from the clutter, so the surface below reads as tidier than it is. Hang it centred on the sideboard, with about a hand’s width of wall between furniture and frame. Pair it with pale wood, linen and a couple of stoneware pieces in sand or grey.
